Friday, March 13th – Oh, what a wonderful day is ahead of us! This morning, we will make our way south to attend North Carolina’s Fiber Fest which is celebrating its 20th year! Dedicated to educating and preserving heritage arts, it is truly a treasure trove of fiber fun! You will also have a ticket to visit the Capital Quilters Guild’s Annual Quilt Show where you’ll see beautiful quilts and quilted items that showcase a myriad of styles and skills across the art of quilting (including bed quilts, wall art quilts and miniatures). Saturday, March 14th – After a relaxing breakfast, the fun continues as we return to our Fiber Fest and Annual Quilt Show for more adventures. And if that’s not enough, you can browse through the huge flea market located on the premises. Known as North Carolina’s greatest treasure hunt, you’ll find vintage items, collectibles, antiques, handcrafted items, home grown food, plants, new, used, local and unusual. They have it all. And then, by late afternoon, we’ll depart for home with lots of new knowledge, new friends, new skills and new purchases. What a treat this will be! (B)
